Tenovos Announces Summer 2023 Product Updates to Extend DAM Features

New York, June 28, 2023 - Tenovos, the company that goes beyond simply managing digital assets, today announced the global availability of its Summer 2023 product update. This update introduces features that help DAM Administrators reduce overhead and empowers creatives, consumers, and integrators with new capabilities.

Release Themes​

With the need for Administrators to focus more on content and process improvement, Tenovos introduces updates that not only allow users to manage their own profile information and credentials, but adds the ability for Admins to impersonate users, providing visibility into the user experience from all perspectives. Additional updates designed to improve the administrative experience include new privilege types to help separate and clarify role level access, improved metadata exports, and improved experiences for performing asset transformations.

The Tenovos API has received several updates throughout 2023 Q2 and will continue to be an area of focus in the second half of this year, ultimately resulting in our much anticipated API version 2.0 targeted for 2023 Q4. In this quarter, we see simplifications to the base URL and connection requirements, new endpoints for scanning assets, adding proof users, and getting vocabulary cascade mappings. The new Tenovos Developer Portal provides access to API documentation and helpful code examples for every API request, along with code samples for common integration use cases.

In addition to new features, Tenovos focused heavily on stability improvements throughout the entire platform that were deployed during the quarter to improve your overall experience as quickly as possible.

Additional Q2 Enhancements to the Tenovos Platform​

Items with a Feature Flag indicate that the feature is behind a feature flag and is currently in Beta for limited customers.

  • User Impersonation Feature Flag: Administrative users with User Management privilege can impersonate other users with equal or fewer Administrative privileges.
  • Integrated Help Feature Flag: All users have access to User Guides, Product Updates, and other communications directly within Tenovos.
  • User Profile Page Feature Flag: User Preferences now includes a Profile page where users can update their account information including passwords for local users.
  • 3D File Support: Rendering and additional support for 3D object models.
  • Access Token API Requirements: When authenticating to the API, Access Token is now optional.
  • New Scan API Endpoint: A new endpoint that allows API users and integrations to page through all assets in their system without limitation to the number of assets.
  • New API endpoint for creating proofing users accounts.
  • New API endpoint for getting cascade mappings for a given vocabulary.
  • External Sharing: Sharing assets externally is now available from the standard share screen in addition to the transformations page.
  • Ingesting Large Assets: Ingesting assets via Bulk Operations now supports files greater than 5GB.
  • Targeted Search Feature Flag: Targeted search introduces enhanced search capabilities to the search bar, allowing users to specifically target search terms against Asset IDs, Filenames, Metadata, or Content (extracted text from documents). Available via the keyword API without a feature flag.
  • Case Insensitive Search: Improvement to keyword searches that allows users to type searches insensitive to case. Requires reindexing.
  • Filter Search Enhancements: Filtered searches within the search bar now use standard attribute names.
  • INDD Support within Proofs: Improved support of INDD files in Proofs.
  • Metadata Export Enhancements: Several enhancements to improve the stability of exporting metadata.
  • Increased Transformation Limits: Improvements to the transformation process that allow users to select up to 250 assets for transformation and 500 transformations in total.
  • Bulk Operations Upload: Improved the flow of uploading assets during Bulk Operations file staging based on customer Ideas Portal submission.
